The BridgeSprout Skip-Count Rekenrek — also known as a number rack — is a thoughtfully designed counting frame that strengthens number sense through visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learning. Unlike a traditional abacus, every fifth bead features a contrasting color, letting children instantly recognize groups of five and develop efficient counting strategies rather than counting one bead at a time.

This intentional design helps children identify numerical patterns, develop fluency with skip counting, and strengthen mental math. As learners progress, the Skip-Count Rekenrek becomes a powerful tool for practicing addition, subtraction, number relationships, and early multiplication concepts.
